Golden Gate Bridge – San Francisco, CA
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strat connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structures links San Francisco to Marin County, carrying both US Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge was opened in 1937.
KTA provided in-process inspection services at fabrication shops during the bridge pedestrian rail replacement project, QA coating inspection services for the North Approach seismic retrofit project, and coatings-related consulting services, including coating condition assessment services and maintenance painting recommendations for the north approach to the bridge, as well as equipment design for the maintenance painting operations.
