KTA Podcast #6 – Dry Film Thickness Measurement: Scanning Probe vs. Standard Probe

This podcast is related to measuring dry film thickness using two different techniques; one where you just take spot measurements, and the other where you use scanning probes.

John Todd discusses the traditional methods of individual readings. John was previously a contractor with a great deal of hands on field experience with the dry film thickness instruments mentioned in this video. He is currently KTA’s Operations Manager for Inspection Services.

Bill Corbett touches on the dry film thickness scanning probes. Bill is active in ASTM D01.23, which develops the standard for D7091 for dry film thickness. He’s also the Chairman of the SSPC Committee for SSPC PA-2. He is currently KTA’s Chief Operations Officer.

KTA President, Ken Trimber, serves as moderator.
