Kimmer Cline is the Coatings Group Manager for KTA where he has been employed for over 15 years. He is responsible for growing and managing business in the Coatings Group for transportation clients including Pennsylvania DOT/Turnpike, Ohio Turnpike, Michigan DOT, Illinois DOT, Indiana DOT, Wisconsin DOT and North Dakota DOT. He also manages coating projects for sporting event stadiums, shop painting work, tunnels and tanks. Kimmer is a Registered Professional Engineer, a NACE Level 3 Certified Coatings Inspector, and an SSPC Level 2 Certified Protective Coating Inspector. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Fairmont State University and an M.S. in Safety Management from West Virginia University.| Contact Me

Dan O’Malley – Coatings Group Operations Manager

Dan O’Malley is the Operations Manager of the Coatings Group for KTA where he has been employed for over 20 years. In this position, Dan serves Inspection and EH&S clients by reviewing/developing safety and health programs, reviewing contractor submittal packages, preparing proposals, developing specifications for removal of coatings containing lead and other toxic metals, performing ambient air monitoring activities (i.e., site evaluation), scheduling staff and consulting on industrial hygiene and safety issues. Dan is an SSPC C-3 Supervisor/Competent Person for Industrial Deleading Projects (and is a licensed instructor for this course and the C-5 refresher course), and has assisted numerous industrial painting contractors and shop facilities in obtaining SSPC QP-1, QP-2, and QP-3 certification. He has conducted air quality monitoring for toxic metals, solvents, asbestos, and other hazardous materials and has served as on-site industrial hygienist on lead paint removal projects. Dan has also conducted industrial hygiene surveys for insurance companies and waste treatment, industrial and manufacturing facilities. Mr. O’Malley also serves as the Client Advocate for the Professional Services Business Unit. Dan holds a B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University.| Contact Me

Russ Bachman – Senior Inspector/Project Manager (New York)

Russ Bachman is a Senior Inspector/Project Manager for projects throughout the State of New York and the surrounding areas. He has been employed with KTA since 1999. Russ is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review), an SSPC Bridge Coating Inspector (BCI) Level 1, an ASTM D4537 Level II Inspector ,and an SSPC C-3 Supervisor/Competent Person for Deleading of Industrial Structures with over 25 years of experience in the coatings and construction industries. Prior to his current assignment, he provided project management and inspection services on a project involving various bridges for the New York State DOT and the New York State Thruway Authority. Russ is an active member of several coatings-related organizations, such as SSPC, NACE, and ASTM and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. | Contact Me

Ricky Chan, P.E. – Northeast Area Manager

Ricky Chan is the Eastern U.S. Territory Manager for KTA where he has been employed for over 7 years. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in New York and a NACE Coatings Inspector Level 1 – Certified. Ricky has over 15 years of engineering and construction management experience. He is currently responsible for the technical and administrative oversight of numerous, large, multi-disciplinary transportation projects in the Mid-Atlantic area serving such clients as the Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Delaware River Port Authority, Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, and others. Ricky’s responsibility also includes supervision of all project inspection personnel. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic University in NY and an M.S. in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering from Columbia University. | Contact Me

Greg Richards – Southeast Area Manager, NACE Instructor

Greg Richards is the Area Manager of the Southern Territory for KTA where he has been employed for 12 years. In this capacity, he manages projects in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee involving bridges and other industrial structures. Greg has 20 years of experience dealing with coatings-related issues. He is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review), an SSPC Bridge Coating Inspector (BCI) Certified Inspector Level II, an SSPC Certified Protective Coatings Inspector Level 2, and an SSPC C-3 Supervisor/Competent Person for Deleading of Industrial Structures. He also serves as a lead instructor for the SSPC BCI course. Jeffrey H. Towill – Project Manager (Northeast)

Jeff Towill is the Northeast Territory Project Manager for KTA where he has been employed since 1994. In this capacity, he manages various transportation projects through the New England area. He is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review), a NICET Level III, a Certified Traffic Control Supervisor by the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), an ASME Visual Level II, a NETTCP Concrete Technician, and an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I. Prior to his current assignment, he was the KTA Resident Engineer for the lead-based paint removal and recoating project on the George Washington Bridge towers and suspended span for the Port Authority of NY/NJ. He also served as the Chief Inspector on the Haddam/East Haddam Swing Bridge project for ConnDOT. His other inspection experience includes railroad overpass bridges, storage tanks, and electric transmission structures. Chad Sellman – Midwest Area Manager

Chad Sellman is a Project Manager for KTA where he has been employed since 2019. He is a member of NACE and SSPC; he is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Reviewed), Level II Nuclear Inspector, and an SSPC C-3 Certified Supervisor. He has a background in business management and has 20 years of experience in quality control. Chad has 10+ years of experience in the Petroleum industry dealing specifically with linings for storage tanks and transportation vehicles. Chad is currently working hand in hand with Marathon Petroleum Corporation in their Aboveground Storage Tank Group.
