Jamie Hilton is a KTA Corporate Vice President and the Manager of KTA’s Steel and Concrete Group where he has been employed since 2005. In this capacity, he is responsible for the overall management of the Group which includes steel inspection, concrete inspection, and non-destructive testing. Jamie is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector, Level II trained in MT and PT and has over 40 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry. He is experienced in a wide variety of steel fabrication activities from shop production to project management to Quality Control/Quality Assurance. Jamie is a member of numerous National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA) task groups and the Chairman of the TG4 QC/QA task group.  He is also a member of various AWS D1 technical committees and a member of the AISC Certification Standards Committee.  Prior to joining KTA, he worked for high-profile steel fabricators serving as a fabrication supervisor, production engineer, industrial engineer, and Senior Project Manager providing project leadership in the areas of estimating, contract review, subcontracting, planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and shipping. Douglas J. Reardon – Steel and Concrete Group Operations Manager

Doug Reardon is the Steel and Concrete Group Operations Manager for KTA where he has been employed since 1983. In this position, Doug serves as a Senior Project Manager for structural steel fabrication projects for various transportation clients nationwide in addition to assisting the field inspection staff with technical report reviews, scheduling, and project updates/status reports. He is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector; NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review), and a Level II Nuclear Coatings inspector certified in accordance with ASTM D4537.  Prior to his current assignment, he was a KTA Project Management Specialist and for 13 years, provided construction supervision and paint/insulation services to Bayer Corporation at its New Martinsville, West Virginia plant. Doug serves as a principal instructor for a variety of KTA-offered training seminars, and he has successfully completed numerous industry-related courses. | Contact Me

Cindy Rice – Steel Group – Business Development/Project Manager

Cindy Rice is the Steel Group Business Development/Project Manager for KTA where she has been employed since 2005. In this position, she is responsible for the management of several state departments of transportation, toll authorities, and private industry clients as well as developing and pursuing new business opportunities within the steel and concrete inspection industry. Prior to this assignment, Cindy served as a KTA marketing assistant responsible for identifying business opportunities in various markets and developing client prospects as well as investigating market pricing and assisting in proposal preparation. Cindy has successfully completed a variety of industry training seminars including Ultrasonic Testing Level II, Magnetic Particle Level II, AWS Certified Weld Inspector,  KTA Level I Coatings, and KTA Galvanizing Observation. Amy King, P.E. – Steel and Concrete Group Project Manager

Amy King is a Steel & Concrete Group Project Manager for KTA where she has been employed since 2010. She is responsible for contract administration/project management of various steel and concrete inspection contracts. In this position, her responsibilities include the management of several state departments of transportation, toll authorities and private industry clients as well as developing and pursuing new business opportunities within the concrete and steel inspection industry. Amy has a variety of experience including design of roadway construction projects, disaster recovery and transmission tower assessments. Prior to this assignment, she was a Design Engineer II for AECOM Transportation. Amy is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of Alabama, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas.  Amy is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector, PCI Certified Level II Concrete Inspector, PCI Level III Concrete Inspector, NACE Certified Level I Coatings Inspector and  has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Peter Kinney, P.E. – Steel Group Consultant

Peter Kinney has been an on-call Consultant to the KTA Steel Group since 2019 providing technical support and weld engineering services on KTA’s steel fabrication inspection contracts. Peter is a Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas with over fifteen years of experience in the welding industry. He is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and an AWS Certified Welding Engineer. Peter is a Senior Welding Engineer with Sandia National Laboratories and As Welded Engineering Services.  Peter holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology Engineering from Texas A&M and an M.S. degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a member of the American Welding Society.

George (Ed) Moore – Steel and Concrete Group Chief Inspector (Florida)

Ed Moore is a Chief Inspector/Supervisor for KTA Steel Group projects in Florida and the surrounding states. In this position, he is responsible for the direction of up to 15 CWI inspectors, coatings inspectors, and NDT technicians for various shop locations in the southeastern United States. An employee of KTA since 2004, Ed is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector, a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 3 (Peer Review), and an SNT-TC-1A Level II in MT with over 45 years of experience in the fabrication industry. He successfully completed the KTA three-day Basic Coatings Inspection Training Course and KTA internal training in the performance of galvanizing observations based on ASTM and AGI guidelines. Prior to this position, he provided in-shop inspection services during the fabrication of steel bridge girders and also provided field inspection services during the erection of the fabricated girders on Florida Department of Transportation projects for KTA. | Contact Me

James Kretzler, Sr. – NDE Department Manager / Steel and Concrete Group Project Manager

Jim Kretzler is the NDE Department Manager for KTA and a Steel & Concrete Group Project Manager for KTA.  Jim has been with KTA since 2012.  He is a Certified Welding Inspector, a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 1 and ASNT Certified Level III in the disciplines of Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (MT).  Mr. Kretzler also holds SNT-TC-1A Level II certifications in MT, PT, RT, and UT. Mr. Kretzler has over 30 years of experience in the steel industry including fabrication, inspection in both QC and QA, non-destructive testing, and QA management for bridge and highway, building and nuclear.  In his current position as the NDE Department Manager, Mr. Kretzler is responsible for the overall management of the Department and KTA’s NDT program.  In his capacity as a Project Manager his responsibilities include contract management, client management and inspector management for a number of state departments of transportation, engineering firms and private clients.    Mr. Kretzler joins the other KTA project managers in business development and providing client satisfaction. Kim Werry – Project Management Administrator

Kim Werry is a Project Management Administrator at KTA where she has been employed since 2008. In this position, she devotes her efforts assisting the Project Managers with generating, formatting, assembling, and distributing a large volume of proposals and technical reports to clients. Kim provides IT support to PMs and inspectors and additionally supervises clerical personnel and recommends changes to Department policies and procedures.  Kim also manages smaller projects.  Prior to joining KTA, Kim served as an administrative assistant for Huntingdon County Child & Adult Development and was the Office Administrator/Technical Support Administrator for Huntingdon Computer Workshop, providing IT support and computer repair/upgrades.  Kim is highly experienced in the suite of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams and also experienced in Adobe Acrobat. | Contact Me
